Dr. Nikki was born and raised in Wilkesboro, NC, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She’s a proud Catamount graduating with Honors from Western Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. After attending the Medical Education Program UNC Chapel Hill, Dr. Nikki attended Eastern Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
After graduating Dr. Nikki worked as a general dentist in her hometown at the Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic. During this time she worked on the dental bus servicing the elementary, middle, and high schools of Wilkes county.
Never wavering in her passion for pediatrics, Dr. Nikki pursued an opportunity at NYU Langone’s Pediatric Dental Residency in Holyoke, MA were she earned her Pediatric Dental Certificate. She took special interest in oral surgery and restorative dentistry and strives to continue learning how to best provide these services for her patients. Dr. Nikki recently received her Pediatric Dentistry Board Certification and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Always the leaner, Dr. Nikki plans to continue to grow professionally through obtaining further certifications and gaining new clinical skills.
Outside the office, Dr. Nikki loves to bake and prides herself in being an amateur cookie decorator. She is a proud cat mom who loves a good cup of coffee paired with a captivating mystery novel. You can find her tasting foods and caffeinated bean juice around the world, because traveling is always on her agenda. She enjoys the simple things in life and thinks everyone deserves a reason to smile.
